Email Wallet Export
OrangeBit provides a secure and transparent Email Wallet Export mechanism to ensure that users who register via email (using Privy) maintain full control and portability of their digital assets.
1. Non-Custodial Design
The email-based account created through Privy is entirely non-custodial.
A private key pair is generated locally on the user’s device during registration.
OrangeBit and Privy never store or access users’ private keys, ensuring complete sovereignty and security of all assets associated with the account.
2. Export Capability
At any time, users can initiate a local export of their wallet via the OrangeBit interface.
This process is fully client-side — OrangeBit and Privy never store, access, or transmit any private key material.
The export capability enables users to:
• Securely decrypt and view their locally stored private key or mnemonic (if enabled).
• Export their wallet credentials directly from their device to external wallets (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet).
• Continue managing and transferring their assets independently of OrangeBit and Privy.
All sensitive key operations occur within the user’s browser or device, ensuring true self-custody and compliance with decentralized security standards.
3. Security & Verification
Before any export operation, users must complete a multi-factor verification process via email and device-level authentication to prevent unauthorized access.
Exported keys are never transmitted over the network; instead, they are encrypted and stored locally or presented only to the verified user in a secure environment.
4. Portability & Interoperability
The exported wallet is EVM-compatible, enabling users to interact directly with blockchain networks or other decentralized applications.
This ensures that users can retain full asset ownership even if they stop using OrangeBit, reinforcing the principle of user-first sovereignty.
5. Compliance & Transparency
All export operations comply with security best practices and data privacy standards.
OrangeBit’s infrastructure merely facilitates the export process — it does not retain any user key material or recovery data, guaranteeing that only the user can access their exported wallet.
Summary
The Email Wallet Export function reflects OrangeBit’s core philosophy:
“Convenience should never compromise custody.”
By combining Privy’s secure identity system with open-key interoperability, OrangeBit empowers users to begin with a simple email login — and still retain true ownership of their blockchain identity and digital assets.
