Deposit & Withdrawal
OrangeBit adopts a non-custodial hybrid model for all deposit and withdrawal activities, ensuring that users retain full control over their assets while enabling high-performance trading operations. This mechanism is a core part of OrangeBit’s Hybrid Architecture and demonstrates the platform’s commitment to user custody, transparency, and security.
Deposit
Users connect their wallets (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby, WalletConnect) or authenticated Privy accounts to interact directly with smart contracts deployed on the supported blockchain(s).
When a deposit is made, assets are transferred from the user’s wallet to a designated on-chain contract address (e.g., OrangeBit Spot Vault or Perpetual Vault).
The deposited balance is recorded on-chain and mirrored in the off-chain trading engine for real-time order execution.
Smart contracts enforce that only the original wallet owner can initiate withdrawals, guaranteeing non-custodial asset management.
For Privy-linked accounts (email login), deposits occur via embedded wallet contracts under the user’s control, with full export and recovery support.
Withdrawal
Users can initiate withdrawals at any time via the OrangeBit interface.
Withdrawal transactions are signed and broadcasted directly by the user’s wallet to the blockchain.
The OrangeBit settlement layer verifies the withdrawal against the on-chain contract balance and automatically releases the assets.
Withdrawals are executed without any manual intervention by OrangeBit; the protocol operates entirely based on smart contract logic.
Typical processing time depends on the underlying blockchain’s confirmation speed and network fees.
Transparency & Security
All deposits and withdrawals are fully verifiable on-chain, ensuring transparency and auditability.
OrangeBit does not hold user private keys or have authority to move funds on behalf of users.
Smart contracts are open-source and audited by independent security firms to ensure integrity and resilience.
Technical Overview
Funds are managed via a smart contract-based vault system.
Deposits update both on-chain balances and off-chain order books to enable instant trading.
Withdrawals are executed directly by the user’s wallet through on-chain transactions.
The system provides CEX-level performance with DeFi-grade transparency — no centralized custody, no withdrawal restrictions, and all movements are auditable on-chain.
Operational KPIs
Average deposit confirmation time: < 1 minute (depending on blockchain congestion)
Average withdrawal confirmation time: < 2 minutes
Smart contract uptime: 99.99%
Settlement accuracy: 100% (fully verifiable via on-chain logs)
Security & Compliance
All deposit and withdrawal contracts are subject to continuous monitoring, bug bounty programs, and third-party security audits.
In case of anomalies (e.g., delayed settlement or unexpected transaction behavior), the system automatically enters withdrawal-safe mode, allowing users to retrieve funds directly from the smart contract without relying on OrangeBit infrastructure.
